Deluxe Web Hosting Options
The following features are available on the IOCC.com Deluxe Web Hosting package.
IOCC.com's web servers are connected to AT&T's backbone via a T-3 (up to 45Mbps) data line. This high-speed line is continuously monitored to assure availability.
Servers at the IOCC.com datacenter are protected from power surges and power failures with backup battery supplies. In addition, IOCC.com has our own natural-gas-powered generator that supplies power in extended outages.
Data is saved twice daily, with one of those daily backups preserved each day for a week. One daily backup is saved each day for a week. One weekly backup is saved each week for a month. We save 2-3 monthly backups.
Our servers are Linux platform based instead of the Windows platform with all its security holes. IOCC.com limits shell and FTP access to the servers to keep prying eyes from seeing our client's content and routines. Webmasters using networks other than IOCC's can request FTP access that is granted within a few minutes.
Extensions such as Java, JavaScript, Flash, and Front Page work fine, as long as they do NOT require server-side extensions.

Scripting Languages
The IOCC.com commercial web servers support not only static .html and .htm pages, but also dynamically-created pages from languages such as PHP and PERL. BASH shell and CGI scripts may be used after a security review by our system administrator.
Database
MySQL databases are available for use by supporting programs.
E-Commerce Catalog and Shopping Cart
Businesses wanting to add selling to their web presence can now do so. IOCC.com routines let shoppers look through pictures and descriptions of products and place them into a shopping cart. Shoppers establish an account with delivery information (or login to their existing account), specify payment (such as cash in advance, cash on delivery, or credit card), and receive confirmation of their order. The merchant gets a copy of the order. Out-of-town banks are NOT required for credit card processing! IOCC.com's interface works with the merchant accounts for at least one local bank!
Forum / Discussion Board
When a web site needs to display comments from visitors in an organized forum, these routines can be configured in several ways to handle the data.
Blogs
Web logs are increasing in popularity as a way to post free-form thoughts and ideas. This can be added to web sites.
Usage Statistics
The IOCC.com commercial web server makes the web server logs available to webmasters. However, logs are usually large and cryptic. The IOCC.com "Usage Statistics" graphical report provides useful information, such as hits and pages. The statistics also compile the number of "visits" (unique visitors), along with the hours of the site visits, and "entry" and "exit" pages (first page accessed when coming to the site, and last page accessed before leaving the site). That information can be very useful in marketing decisions.
